One-Day Tour to Kazbegi and Around

Service Description

Kazbegi is probably the most famous mountain area in the country and the 4th highest mountain of Europe (5054 m.a.s.l.). This area offers several one-day hiking trails in different gorges of the place, including important cultural sights, like Gergeti Trinity Church (XIV c). On the way we will visit Ananuri Fortress-Complex (XVII c) and will stop at Gudauri panoramic viewing point. After a quick lunch in Stepantsminda village, we'll go up to Gergeti church (the ascend is quite steep, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and have a weather appropriate jacket and headwear with you), enjoy the views and come down to the village to enjoy a beer or coffee before going back to Tbilisi. In the summertime, a trip to Gveleti waterfall is another highlight of this long and beautiful day, but when the light day is short, we should skip it, unless we do Gergeti by car.
